Coaching Sessions
Service Description
If you've stumbled upon my website, you might be wondering, "What is a recovery and life coach?" If this question has crossed your mind, I'm pleased to share that I am here to help! Coaching often leads to significant improvements and positive changes in one’s life. Unlike psychotherapy, coaching takes a more direct approach, offering advice and suggestions necessary for individuals to reach their goals and full potential. Embarking on the journey of working with a coach will help you learn to deal with situations in new ways. At times, no matter who we are, we all benefit from a guide, mentor, or coach on this journey we call life. I believe that each of us is unique, creative, and ultimately responsible for moving our own life forward. When it comes to recovery and life coaching, I utilize reflective and deep listening, strategic and powerful questions, tools to overcome obstacles to success, identification of your internal and external resources, development of effective self-care, and clarification of your values, goals, and overall vision for your personal life. A key aspect of the coaching relationship is developing a mission statement for your life, as well as effective action steps to move you toward your goals and visions. Coaching is distinct from psychotherapy — it neither is, nor purports to be, a substitute for psychotherapy. While there are some similarities between coaching and psychotherapy, they are different endeavors. If issues arise that are best dealt with in a psychotherapy context, I will refer you to an appropriately licensed therapist. I look forward to working with you and empowering you on your new journey of positivity and transformative change!
